DEATHS.
The total number of deaths belonging to the borough registered
during 1946 was 779, consisting of 421 males and 358 females. The
number for 1945 was 686. The death-rate for 1946 was 13.8 per
thousand persons living, compared with 14.6 for 1945.
MARRIAGES.
The total number of marriages in the borough in 1946 was 665,
being 72 below the number for 1945, and 175 below the average for
the last 10 years.
The figures have been supplied by the Superintendent Registrar.
