FOOD POISONING.
Four cases of Food Poisoning were notified to me during the
year under The Public Health (London) Act, 1936, Section 182. There
was one death. The onset of illness in this case was very sudden
and the patient died within about twenty-four hours. Post-mortem
appearances were consistent with the diagnosis of food poisoning.
Bacteriological evidence suggested that death was due to infection by
Streptococcus Hæmolyticus. At the inquest a verdict of death from
misadventure was returned.
INSULIN FOR DIABETIC PATIENTS.
Thirty patients have been supplied during the year as compared
with twenty-nine patients in 1944. (The Public Health (London)
Act, 1936, Section 227.)
