DEATHS.
The total number of deaths belonging to the borough registered
during 1944 was 809, consisting of 448 males and 361 females. The
number for 1943 was 761. The death-rate for 1944 was 18.1 per
thousand persons living, compared with 16.7 for 1943.
MARRIAGES.
The total number of marriages in the borough in 1944 was 370,
being 88 below the number for 1943, and 567 below the average for
the last 10 years.
The figures have been supplied by the Superintendent Registrar.
