PHARMACY AND POISONS ACT, 1933.
Fifty-two premises were entered on the Council's list for the
year under report, one being removed later.
As a result of informal samples being purchased, it was found
that fourteen contraventions of the Act occurred, poisons being sold
wrongly by both listed and unlisted vendors. Warning letters were
sent in each case.
FOOD AND DRUGS.
During the year 1,421 articles were submitted for analysis, of
which number the following 21 were found to be adulterated. Adulterated
samples taken during the four months of war numbered 14.
