an increase of 11 over the previous year. Every lecture is given
by a doctor on the staff of the Department, and in all cases was
illustrated by lantern slides and films.
During the year 278 children attending elementary schools
in the borough entered, after recognised training, for the Borough
Council's examination in Personal Hygiene and Home Nursing,
and the following certificates were granted:—

Primary "B" 18
One of the candidates who passed the Primary "B" examination
also gained a Proficiency Medal for obtaining 70 per cent, of
marks throughout the examination.
