Report on the sanitary condition of the Borough of Bermondsey for the year 1930

DEATHS.
The total number of deaths belonging to the Borough registered
during 1930 was 1,488, consisting of 828 males and 660
females. The number for 1929 was 1,650.
The death rate for 1930 was 13.1 per 1,000 persons living,
compared with 14.5 for 1929.
MARRIAGES.
The total number of marriages in the Borough in 1930 was
1021, being 27 above the number for 1929, and 44 below the
average for the last 10 years.
The figures have been supplied by the Superintendent
Registrar. This makes a marriage rate of 17.94 per 1,000 of the
population, compared with a marriage rate last year of 17.47.
