OVERCROWDING.
As the question of overcrowding in the Borough was a very
serious one, and there were no reliable data as to the actual state
of affairs in 1927, the Council decided to make a Census of the
inhabited houses in the Borough, and the number of persons
occupying these. The result of this Census will be found in the
following table: —
