Report on the sanitary condition of the Borough of Bermondsey for the year 1926

The new Solarium was opened by the Mayor in June, 1926,
when a large number of Councillors and other persons of prominence
in the Borough, were present. Addresses were given by
Professor Leonard Hill, F.R.S., and Dr. Salter, M.P., and by the
Medical Officer of Health. The building is constructed upon a
small site, 73ft. by 80ft., and at the rear of the Tuberculosis
Dispensary in Grange Road. The site originally formed the
