CARE COMMITTEE.
As a result of a report, the Council decided to press the County
Council to abolish the Care Committee in Bermondsey and this
was subsequently done. Particulars will be found below.
The Tuberculosis Dispensary was started in Bermondsey in 1911,
shortly after the inauguration of the Dispensary system in Edinburgh
and other parts of the country. The Dispensary at first, being voluntary,
was managed by a Committee. In November, 1913, a special
