Marriages.
The total number of marriages in the Borough in 1921 was
1,084, being 299 below the number for 1920, and 158 below the
average for the last 10 years.
The figures have been supplied by the Superintendent Registrar.
This makes a marriage rate of 17.99 per 1,000 of the population,
compared with a marriage rate last year of 21.4 per 1,000 of the
population, 120,500.

Deaths.
In Tables III. and IV. of Appendix will be found tables dealing
with deaths in the Borough.
The total number of deaths registered in the Borough for the
year ended December 31st, 1921, was 1,313, which is 153 less than
in 1920, and 425 below the average for the last 10 years.
When this figure is corrected by exclusion of deaths of non
parishioners occurring in the district, and the inclusion of deaths
of parishioners occurring outside the district, the number is raised
to 1,656. This is 14 more than in 1920, and 459 less than the
average for the last 10 years.
