possible to introduce some arrangement for relieving him of some
of the more onerous duties of his post. His district has been
visited house-to-house all through and considerable work done in
it. I therefore suggest that if no other arrangement is possible
he should not be expected to make the same total of visits per
week as the other inspectors, but that he should be required simply
to attend to the complaints, infectious diseases and matters of a
similar character as they occur in his district.
In closing this account of the year's proceedings I respectfully
beg to thank the Chairman and members of the Committee for
their continued support, which alone has enabled me to carry on

I am, Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
JOHN FOOT,
Assoc. Mem. Royal Inst. Public Healthy
Chief Inspector.
