The he proportion of persons married is 18.2 per thousand of the
population ; the corresponding rate for the whole of London is 20.3.
DEATHS OF INFANTS.
Twenty-eight per cent. of the deaths from all causes were those
of infants aged less than twelve months; for out of 4,753 infants
born alive, 827 died before reaching the age of one year, thus giving
a death rate, calculated upon the births, of 174.0, whilst the
corresponding rate for the whole of London is 166.0.
