The Finsbury deaths were apportioned as follows:—Clerkenwell
667, St. Luke's 322, St. Sepulchre 21 deaths. The comparison

Inquests.—During the past year 69 inquests were held in the
Borough of which 1 was on the body of a non-resident who died
suddenly in the district. Ten were on children under 5 years of
age, and 59 on adults and children over 5 years of age.
Amongst the causes of death were the following :—
Accidental burns 1, accidental scalds 3, accidental drowning 4,
accidental falls 9, knocked down by tricycle 1, by motor vehicles 7,
by train 1, and by tram 1, suffocated by smoke in room 1, collision
of vehicles 1, accidental fracture of leg 1, deaths while under
anaesthetic 2, suicide 6.
