RATS AND MICE (DESTRUCTION) ACT, 1919.
The methods indicated in my Report in 1921 have been
maintained in 1925.
COMMON LODGING HOUSES.
In 1925 two common lodging houses were licensed in Finsbury
as follows:—
57, White Lion Street, James Shuttleworth—98 men.
88, Old Street, Salvation Army—372 men.
CANAL BOATS ACTS, 1877 TO 1884.
During the year 1925, the total number of Canal Boats inspected
was 93. None carried offensive cargo.
The Acts and Regulations were contravened in 2 instances,
and for these complaint notes were sent to the owners requiring
abatement within a specified time.
The infringements were in respect of the following matters
1. Leaky after cabin.
2. Overcrowding.
These were remedied and it was not found necessary to take
legal proceedings.
