The deaths registered in Deptford numbered 822 equalling a death-
rate of 7•2, as compared with 1,063 and a death-rate of 9•3 for the
preceding year. Of this number, 161 were non-parishioners. The
deaths of Deptford residents occurring outside the Borough in public
institutions were 611, making a total of 1,272 deaths belonging to this
Borough. Of these 671 were males and 601 were females. The death
rate was 11•1, compared with 13•8 in 1922.
