The Board of Agriculture and Milk Prosecutions.
The Board have recently sent a circular to local authorities suggesting
"that before proceedings are instituted under the Sale of Food
and Drugs Acts on analytical evidence in respect of the sale of a sample
of milk, there should be a preliminary investigation by an officer of the
local authority, or that the milk producer should be given an opportunity
of making any explanation or representation which he may desire to
