Notifiable Infectious Diseases.
The total number of cases of Infectious Diseases notified during
the year under the provision of the Public Health (London) Act,
1891, and the Tuberculosis Regulations was 1794. This shows an
increase of 56 on the preceding year.

During the past five years the total number of cases notified and the attack rates per 1,000 of the population have been as follows:-

Briefly, this increase in notifications for 1914 was due to the number
of cases of Scarlet Fever notified, which were 227 in excess of the
previous year, but there were 165 fewer cases of Tuberculosis notified.

Fees for Notifications. The amount paid to Medical Practitioners for notification during the period under report was:-

repaid to the Sanitary Authority by the Metropolitan Asylums Board.
