Confusion between Diphtheria and Croup.—I have
mentioned that formerly deaths from Diphtheria were ascribed to
Croup, and even to Laryngitis and Quinsey, although chiefly to the
first-mentioned disease. I think it might be of interest, therefore,
to see how we stand to-day, as compared with the past, with
respect to these two diseases when combined in one return. The
following are the figures which I have abstracted from previous
reports:—
