TUBERCULOSIS DISPENSARY.
During the year much careful consideration was
given to the provision of a Tuberculosis Dispensary. The
Council was most anxious to provide and control a
municipal dispensary, but this proposal was definitely
negatived by the Local Government Board and the
Council was directed to enter into a contract with the
Governors of the City of London Hospital for Diseases of
the Chest. A scheme has accordingly been prepared, the
terms of which are agreeable to the Local Government
Board, the London County Council, the London Insurance
Committee and the Governors of the Chest Hospital. The
Seal of the Council will be affixed to the contract at an
early date, after which the Dispensary will be open.
