Report on the sanitary condition of the Borough of Bermondsey for the year 1919

Whooping Cough.
4 deaths were due to this cause, against 84 in 1918.
Enteric Fever.
3 deaths were due to this cause, 2 in Bermondsey, and 1 in
St. Olave. There were no deaths in 1918.
Tubercular Diseases.
The number of deaths from all forms of tubercular disease in
1919 was 229, against 233 in 1918.
Phthisis.
In Table B will be found particulars of deaths from phthisis
since the year 1909. There were 174 deaths due to this cause,
which is 5 more than the number recorded in the previous year.
