The Public Mortuary comprises two mortuary
rooms and a post-mortem room with lavatories. The
postmortem room is now adequately warmed and provided
with good natural and artificial light. The
Mortuary keeper resides in the Coroner's Court close
to the Public Mortuary, and the Police, having a key
to the Mortuary, can obtain access to it at any time
of the night for the purpose of depositing corpses.
During the year the Public Mortuary was repainted
and put into repair.
