Milk and Cream.
MILK.
972 samples of milk were procured for analysis during the year.
149 or 15-3 per cent, were reported against as being adulterated
or not up to legal standard.
940 samples were purchased officially, of which 149 or 15.8
per cent, were adulterated, and 32 samples purchased informally,
all of which were genuine.
99 samples were found to contain added water, 38 were deficient
in milk fat, and 12 were deficient in milk fat and contained added
water.
