Infant Visiting.
During the year the female Sanitary Inspectors have continued
the work begun in 1905 in visiting the homes where births had
occurred.
"We herewith submit to you the report of our visits amongst
infants during the year 1916.
"In February, 1916, a Health Visitor was appointed solely
for Infant Visiting, which accounts for the greatly increased number
of visits in Tooting, Balham and Clapham North, the districts
allotted to her, and of re-visits in all the Wards.
"The total number of visits paid including re-visits and
ineffectual visits was 8,212, compared with 5,188 in 1915. The
