Notifications.
47. The total number of Notifications received during the
year was 3,461. Table No. IV. below shows these notifications
in detail for each disease and in year groups. It also shows the
numbers occurring in each parish in the Borough, and the
numbers removed to Hospital. For comparative purposes, the
number of cases of Notifiable Infectious Diseases occurring in
the Borough each year since 1901 are shown in Table 28 on
page 57.
During 1919, there was an increase in the incidence of Infectious
Diseases, and more particularly in the case of Diphtheria
and Enteric Fever.
