DEATHS IN PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS.
Within the Borough.—The deaths which occurred in
the Public Institutions in the Borough numbered 451, of which
number 208 were residents, the remainder having been brought
from other districts for treatment.
The deaths were distributed as follows:—

Poor Law Institutions:—192 deaths.
Infectious Disease Hospitals: — Brook, 5; SouthEastern,
4; South-Western, 2.
General Hospitals.—Charing Cross, 2; Children's Hospital,
Great Ormonde Street, 2; Evelina Hospital for Children, 1;
Guy's, 16; King's College, 6; London, 7 ; Middlesex, 5 ; Miller, 9;
St. Bartholomew's, 5; St. Thomas's, 4; Westminster, 4; others, 33.
