ZYMOTIC MORTALITY.
Included in the Zymotic death-rate are the deaths from the
seven principal Zymotic Diseases, viz.: Small-pox, Measles,
Scarlet Fever, Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, "Fever" (including
Enteric Fever, Typhus Fever, and Simple Continued Fever), and
Diarrhœa.
The Zymotic Death-rate for the Borough was 0.93 per 1,000
per annum, as against 0.90 in the preceding year. The rate for
London generally was 1.30. In 7 Metropolitan Boroughs this rate was
lower than in Stoke Newington.
CONSUMPTION.
The death-rate for Consumption (Pulmonary Tuberculosis) in
the Borough for 1918 was 1.2 per 1,000, as against 1.3 for London
generally.
