Underground Bakehouses (sec. 101) :—
In use at the end of 1923 13
Customs and Inland Revenue Acts.—No applications were
received during the year for certificates under these Acts.
Scavenging.—The Refuse Destructor forshadowed for some
years past is still in course of construction.
The collection of house, etc., refuse in the Borough is under
the control of the Borough Surveyor, and very few complaints
have been received as to non-collection.
Two hundred and sixty-eight new ash receptacles have been
provided.
Horse Slaughterer.—The one horse slaughtering premises in
the Borough has been inspected on three occasions and the cleansing
of the premises duly carried out.
