Zymotic Enteritis or Summer Diarrhoea.—Eighty-six
cases of Diarrhoea were notified throughout the whole of the Borough,
43 being under one year of age and 43 between one and five. Forty
of such notifications related to patients in East Greenwich, 39 in
West Greenwich, 2 in St. Nicholas and 5 in Charlton.
There were 12 deaths ascribed to this disease.
Whooping Cough.—This disease was made permanently notifiable
as from 1st November, 1921.
Three hundred and twenty-nine cases were notified (compared
with 408 in 1922), 51 being under one year of age, 174 from one to
five, 103 from five to fifteen, and 1 from 25 to 45, the districts concerned
being East Greenwich, 196 ; West Greenwich, 87 ; St. Nicholas, 27;
