3. Thickening Substances.
Any evidence of their addition to cream or preserved
cream. Action taken where found ... ... ... Nil.
4. Other Observations.
In all cases where a contravention of the Regulations has
occurred, the Council has, in accordance with Article 6 of the
Regulations, afforded the Vendor an opportunity of furnishing
an explanation in writing. In two cases the explanation given
was considered satisfactory. All samples of milk taken for
analysis under Sale of Food and Drugs Acts are examined for
preservatives. During the year no sample was found to
contain preservative.
