Factories and Workshops, etc. — During the year 104 notices
were served in reference to insanitary conditions and defects
found to exist during the inspection of the factories, workshops
and work-places in the Borough, and during the same period
106 notices were complied with.
During the previous year there were 154 notices served
and 140 complied with.
The following is a list of the Factories and Workshops upon the Register:—

The whole of these premises have been under a systematic
inspection by your Inspectors and numerous improvements
have been carried out under their supervision.
The following tables have been prepared in accordance
with the form prescribed by the Home Office on the Administration
of the Factory and Workshops Act, 1901, in connection
with Factories, Workshops, Workplaces and Homework.
