Meansles.
This disease is compulsorily notifiable in Hampstead under the
Borough of Hampstead (Measl9s) Regulations, 1920.
During 1922, 887 cases were notified and deaths occurred.
Whooping Cough,
This disease is not compulsorily notifiable in Hampstead; our
principal source of information of the occurrence of cases is the Head
Teachers of Schools Two deaths were due to Whooping Cough in
1922.
Diarrhœa and Enteritis.
Of the total deaths at all ages from Diarrhoea and Enteritis in
Hampstead during 1922, which numbered 11, 6 took place among
children under two years of aye.
Principal Epidemic Diseases.
All of these, with the exception of whooping cough, are notifiable
diseases, and information concerning them is set out in Section "3"
of this Report.

The death-rate from these causes in 1922 was 0.22 per 1000 of
the population.
