Hospital Isolation.--Of the 1,993 cases of infectious diseases notified,
1,772 were isolated in hospital, or a percentage of 88.9, while only 11.1 per
cent, of the patients, therefore, were nursed at home. The reluctance of
parents, guardians and adult persons to allow patients to be removed to a
hospital seems to have practically disappeared.
