INQUESTS AND MORTUARY.
During the year 429 bodies were received into the Mortuary, as compared
with an average of 567 in the preceding 10 years. The return is the lowest
known for very many years.
Ten infectious bodies were received during the year.
The daily average number of bodies received was 1.1 as compared with
1.3 in 1918.
In 321 cases inquests were held, as contrasted with an average of 399 in the ten years 1909-1918.
