The mortality in the sub-districts ranged from 50 per 1,000 births in
Tufnell to 101 in Lower Holloway.
In London the infant mortality was 85 per 1,000 births, while in the six
boroughs encircling Islington it was also 85.
The rate for England and Wales was 89 per 1,000 births.
