Restaurant Kitchens.
The number of restaurant kitchens and eating houses on the
register at the end of 1923 was 91. During the year, 284 visits of
inspection were made by the Council's Inspector and 8 notices
were served to remedy various minor sanitary defects.
Street Stalls for the Sale of Food.
There are in the Borough a large number of street vendors
of food stuffs of various character, viz., fruit 42, vegetables 43,
fish 21, meat and rabbits 8, sweets and confectionery 7, bacon 1,
other foods 7, total 129.
