The death-rate from tuberculosis in 1923 is the lowest yet
recorded in Battersea; the notifications received were also lower
than during any year since compulsory notification came into
force.

The death-rates per 100,000 of the population from tuberculosis during the twenty years ended 1920, in quinquennial averages, and in 1921, 1922 and 1923 are given in the following table:—
