VITAL STATISTICS.
Population.
The population of the Borough at the Census taken on the 19th
June, 1921, was 167,739. As the Census was taken in the middle
of the year instead of the spring, as is usual, the Registrar-General
found it necessary to make an adjustment in the figures. The
revised population as estimated by the Registrar-General for Battersea
was 169,200, showing a slight excess over the previous Census
returns of 1901 and 1911.
The estimated population, according to the Registrar-General,
of the Borough for the year 1923 is 170,600.
