Report on the health of the Metropolitan Borough of Battersea for the year 1923

The duties of sanitary authorities in relation to the sanitation
of factories are few, and are limited mainly to the enforcement
of suitable and sufficient sanitary accommodation for
factory employees.

Eighteen new factory premises were added to the register during the year, dealing with—

Thirteen factories were discontinued during the year.
During the year 103 preliminary and 16 Statutory notices
were served under the Public Health (London) Act, 1891, for
defects found on factory premises, for the most part relating
to defective or insufficient sanitary accommodation, all of which
were duly complied with.
