POPULATION OF CHELSEA.
The Registrar-General's estimated population for the middle of
1923 is 64,480. The actual census population in 1921 was 63,700. The
area of the Borough is 660 acres. The number of inhabited houses in
1921 was 10,355. The rateable value of the Borough in 1923 was
£939,188, and the sum represented by a penny rate was £3,750.
