Thus it will be seen that of the 984 births notified during 1916
no less than 667 attended the Weighings, which is undoubtedly a high
percentage of the births of the Borough, considering that such a large
number of our babies are born in well-to-do families.
In order to cope with the increased numbers attending, from
June onwards two weighing days were held at the Health Institute
instead of one.
