Whooping Cough.—One hundred and thirty-six cases of
Whooping Cough were reported, against 357 in the previous
year.
Ten deaths were registered. As this is not a notifiable
disease, the mortality rate on the cases reported is of no value,
as doubtless a very large number of cases occurred which were
not known of in the Public Health Department.
I have received, as heretofore, information as to cases from
the Head Teachers of the Schools of the London County
Council.
The homes of the patients were visited by your Inspectors,
and the parents advised as to the precautions that should be
taken.
