In the case of those occupiers who gave out work of more than one of the classes specified in Column 1, and subdivided their lists in such a way as to show the
number of workers in each class of work, the list has been included among those in column 2 (or 5 as the case maybe) against the principal class only, but the
outworkers have been assigned in columns 3 and 4 (or 6 and 7) into their respective classes.
♦ The figures in columns 2, 3 and 4 are the total number of the lists received from those employers who comply strictly with the statutory duty of sending two
lists each year, and of the entries of names of outworkers in those lists.
