Causes of Death.
The causes of death are given in Table III. of the Local Government
Board's series of tables, see page 145. The mortality from the
various communicable diseases is given in the section of the Report
devoted to those diseases, see pages 75-100 and 105-122. As regards
the other causes of death, the following require special mention :—
Cancer. The following table gives the number of deaths from cancer, and the death-rate per 1000 population in each of the twelve years 1903-14 :—
