Nineteen per cent. of the samples contained 4 per cent. or more fat. Milk with
this fat content does not appear to be uncommon.
In the City of London. 41 out of 252 samples (16 per cent.) of milk examined in
1923 contained 4 per cent. of fat and over.
The Borough Analyst informs me that in certain areas respecting which he has
been able to obtain information in the year 1923, milk samples showed a fat content of
