Sixty-fifth annual report on the health and sanitary condition of the Metropolitan Borough of Islington

28 cases of condensed milk which had been sold for pigs' food, was seized
at a costermonger's private address, and a fine of £5 and £5 5s. costs was
imposed.
Two seizures of unsound Australian jam was made at the Cattle Market,
and the wholesale dealers were proceeded against on the evidence of the
costerrnongers, and were fined £1 and £2 2s. costs in each case.
Cowsheds.—There are 4 cowsheds within the borough, and these received
25 visits and were found generally satisfactory.

Milkshops and Dairies—At the close of the year there were 608 milkshop
and dairies on the register, 14 having been added to it.
They received 577 visits from the District Sanitary Inspectors, who
served 30 notices for the execution of various sanitary improvements and
the cleansing of dirty utensils.
