Illegitimate Births (256).βThe number of illegitimate births, 256,
shows an increase of 41 on the return of the year 1919.

DEATHS.
The deaths numbered 4,475, while the death-rate was equal to 13.32 per
1,000 of the population or 0.77 lower than that of the preceding year (14.09).
and was 2.30 less than the average of the previous 10 years.
The death-rate of 13.32 per 1,000 of the population was the lowest rate
hitherto recorded in the Borough.

in the Appendix.
