REMOVAL OF DUST.
Only 21 applications were received during the year for the removal of
dust, which is 7 below the number recorded last year.
The return is eminently satisfactory, showing as it does, that the inhabitants
of Islington are well served in the matter of dust collection.

Dust Receptacles Provided.—During the year 921 dust receptacles
were provided, while 20 were repaired.
STATE OF PAUPERISM IN THE BOROUGH.
During the year the decrease in Pauperism was maintained, for the
number of paupers relieved weekly averaged only 6,251, as contrasted with
7,424 in 1915, 8,629 in 1914, and 9,399 in 1913.
