contribute one-fourth of such remainder. The net total cost of the scheme to
the Council on the present basis will therefore be only £419 a year.
Since the foregoing scheme was adopted, the Finsbury Borough Council
asked to be allowed to be included in it with the Islington and Shoreditch
Borough Councils, and intimated that if this was agreed to, the Hospital
Authorities were prepared to provide the necessary services upon the payment
at the rate of £900 per annum by each of the Borough Council concerned.
Upon the Shoreditch Borough Council assenting to the inclusion of
Finsbury in the scheme, and in view of the fact that the cost would thereby
be reduced from £975 to £900 per annum, the Council agreed to the proposal
of the Finsbury Borough Council.
