It is satisfactory to note that among the babies 183 were breast-fed as
compared with fifty bottle-fed and six cases of mixed feeding.
As far as their circumstances allow, the patients contribute towards the
cost of drugs and dressings.
Cases unsuitable for treatment at the Centre are referred to hospitals or
to private practitioners. The Committee are indebted to the Great Northern,
Royal Free, and Great Ormond Street Hospitals for their friendly consideration
in this respect, and for their help in informing the medical officer of cases of
malnutrition in the district.
