differences in the rates for the Borough and for the insulœ, to the disadvantage of the latter,
no comment can be made with reference to the figures in question.

INQUESTS.
There were 198 deaths during the year which formed the subjects of Coroners' inquests,
as compared with 227 in the previous year, and a quinquennial average of 166. Sixty-seven
